Cloud Expo Europe 2019 – We’ve had the conversations, now let’s build the future together!

Cloud Expo Europe 2019 has come and gone in the blink of an eye. The London Excel saw thousands of delegates descend upon it throughout the course of Tuesday and Wednesday this week, eager to see the latest cloud innovations the industry has to offer as well as have meaningful conversations to help further their respective cloud journeys and transformation.

The IBM stand was busy throughout the course of the Expo showcasing solutions from AI to infrastructure, IoT to services and everything in between. A big thank you to all those who stopped by the stand and had conversations with myself and my colleagues – we hope you found it all insightful and look forward to continuing those conversations throughout the coming weeks.

From my perspective, the bulk of the conversations were around moving existing VMware workloads into the IBM Cloud and transforming those workloads to a more cloud native model as well as a great deal of interest in a Power Cloud. There was a variety of use cases driving these interactions, ranging from DC consolidation to capacity expansion, DR to test and dev and application modernisation.

At IBM we strive to make it as easy as possible for our customers to achieve their business goals using our cloud. That’s why we are constantly improving our offerings based on real feedback from you and also why we carefully select our best-of-breed partners to leverage their tools directly from our cloud portal. Whether it’s hybridity and migration using VMware HCX or DR and Back up/replication with Zerto and Veeam, we have a variety of tools to compliment your solution, giving you the choice to select what you need, for as long as you need it.

The IBM Cloud also has a number of incentives to allow you to test what works for you at little or no cost. For instance, we are currently providing a 90 day single node trial for migration of VMware workloads which has everything you need to run a proof of concept to test not only seamless migration of existing workloads into the IBM Cloud but also application modernisation once you have landed those initial workloads in the cloud.

Check out how you can take advantage of this exclusive offer.

Once again thank you to everyone who attended the Expo and especially those who stopped by the IBM Stand to have a chat. It was great to talk to you all and we welcome the opportunity to work with you towards a more robust, secure cloud future!
