Gartner has named IBM a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Full Life Cycle API Management*. This honor comes after a year of significant growth, investment and innovation, all of which come together to benefit you, the customer. With the new Connect to Cloud offer and program around API Connect, we are bringing API management front and center to host of clients around the world.

In the past year, API Connect has continued to evolve, expanding its capabilities into a full life cycle API management tool. By further integrating with IBM’s Bluemix cloud and the acquisition of StrongLoop, the functional capabilities of API Connect have greatly improved. Through our StrongLoop acquisition, we have been able to add an API Create and Run aspect into API Connect. This addition is one of the key factors that has solidified our place as one of the leaders in the market. As the only company that offers an integrated API creation and runtime capability with our API management solution, customers can speed up their digital transformation.

According to Gartner, the most distinctive attribute Leaders in this market have is that they are able to address the widest variety of API use cases — internal (A2A), B2B, B2C, on-premises and in the cloud — ranging from traditional, next-generation SOA Mode 1 projects, to the most dynamic, agile, digital strategy Mode 2 execution.

We are so excited to have been included as a leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant, and we are constantly working to make our offerings even better for customers. To download >>> the full report.
