(文章於2021年6月1日在香港經濟日報網站刊登) 5G 流動通訊服務在世界各地推出已有一段時間，不過普及速度暫未能和當年 3G 甚至 4G LTE 面世時看齊。造成這種情況，除了由於市場對網絡速度不斷刷新已經習以為常之外，電訊商需要時間醞釀各類 5G 應用和服務，以突破既有的體驗和表現也是主因。 換句話說，對電訊商而言，單純用更快的網絡推動競爭激烈的流動通訊和娛樂等傳統服務，已不足以在 5G 業務上有盈利，花心思善用 5G 的優勢催生出「殺手級應用」才是關鍵。而這一次的主戰場，是在企業領域中。
