Tim has over 30 year’s experience in the software world specifically in the data and analytics space. He is responsible for driving a software focus into the Cognitive Systems strategy brining a workload perspective from his time in the data world. Prior to joining the Cognitive Systems business Tim was CTO for the Information Management division and then was the CTO for the Analytics group in IBM. In these roles he was responsible for driving the technical strategy for both areas. He spent years travelling the world helping customers set their technology roadmaps and working with customers on their data architecture and analytic/AI systems. Tim was one of the original team that built the DB2 business on the Unix, Linux and Windows platform and was the Chief architect of that product from 2002 through 2010.
