Stefanie Chiras is the director and business line executive for Scale-Out Power Systems. Over her years at IBM she has held many esteemed roles ranging from z Systems, VLSI systems, memory systems, and cell and BlueGene. Mrs. Chiras has held many leadership and strategy roles in her 15 year tenure at IBM thus far. During this time, her experience and expertise in technology has been valuable in many shifts and changes within the market. Stefanie graduated from Harvard University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. From Harvard she moved to the west coast to obtain her MS/PhD in Materials within the School of Engineering at University of California, Santa Barbara. Lastly, Stefanie received her Post-Doc in Materials/Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University. From Princeton, Stefanie joined IBM in 2001. She currently resides in Austin, Texas and continues to be an integral part in all things Power Systems.
