Van Smith is a storage content manager in IBM Systems Labs Services and Technical Training, with a focus on mainframe storage and FlashSystems. Previously, Van worked in several areas in IBM: Software Systems Test, IBM Systems Client Care, and RAS (Reliability, Availability, and Serviceability) for FlashSystems as well as Power Systems. He’s a Certified Reliability Engineer and has served in SME, Program Management and managerial roles. Van has an MS in Engineering/Product Assurance from Walden University, NTU College of Engineering, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA.
